BackCare would like to extend the number of grants currently awarded.Sponsor a CampaignOur current campaign “Protecting Young Backs” addresses the rising concern over the increasing numbers of young back pain sufferers. Up to 30% of adolescents report back problems with 8% suffering recurrent or chronic conditions affecting school attendance, concentration, participation in sport and general well-being. Adolescent back pain has been shown to persist into adult life. The campaign is raising awareness to the problems and lobbying government and key education and health personnel to reduce the risk factors in the school environment and promote positive steps in prevention through back health education and exercise.Sponsor an EventBackCare gets involved in a number of events during the year including exhibitions and shows. Our major national event of the year is BackCare Awareness Week. The theme for 2008 is: “Believe you can do it” and runs from October 4th to 10th. This week attracts much media activity each year and allows us to highlight important issues affecting back pain sufferers.Sponsor a PublicationBackCare produces a range of excellent publications, booklets & posters which support and guide back pain sufferers and address good practice and health and safety issues.Advertise on our WebsiteBackCare has an extensive Website with around 20,000 visitors a month and is ranked first for ‘back care’ by Google. See rate card.Sponsor our HelplineBackCare’s Helpline receives about 900 calls a quarter. We need your sponsorship to keep this very important service going. We also aim to expand the number of helpline operators, extend opening times and reach more back pain sufferers.
