Message to the Media:
BackCare
strives to be as helpful as it can to every journalist. We work with a
broad range of media and are steadily building a reputation among journalists
as a useful organisation to contact when researching a story, programme
or feature on back pain.
While we make no charge for much of our information, we do request to be acknowledged
as the sources if any of our information or statistics are used.
As a small, charity
BackCare
depends entirely upon voluntary donations,
membership subscriptions and sales of publications. In managing very scarce
resources BackCare
relies upon the media to promote greater awareness and understanding of
back pain. In doing so, it recognises the important role that print and
broadcast media play in communicating ideas, knowledge and information
to a wide range of audiences.
Who is the media contact at BackCare ?
We have a dedicated press officer with responsibility for all media enquiries based at BackCare's
national office in Teddington, Middlesex. The press officer can be contacted on 0208 614 8189, Fax: 0208 943 5318,
E-mail: pressoffice@backcare.org.uk
