Applying for research funding from BackCare

BackCare awards funding to research projects in the area of the causes, prevention and treatment of back pain. If you are considering applying for a grant, please read our research policy and terms and conditions of our grants programme before proceeding.

Deadlines for applications
Applications are judged by our Research Committee who meets three times per year.

Deadlines for applications in 2008 are:

27 February 2008
28 May 2008
5 November 2008

Applications should be received before 12 noon on the day of the deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Please note that ten paper copies and one electronic version need to be submitted.

Applications forms
Applicants can decide to submit a brief application for consideration of the Research Committee before submitting a full application. Applicants may also decide to submit a full application straight away. For guidance on the type of research that BackCare funds, please click here.
